Practice History
Before opening the doors @ 81 5th Avenue
It all started in 1999 when I opened a one-man Biokinetic Practice in a wendy house on the premises of Hoërskool Dr EG Jansen in Boksburg. At that stage, called "BIOSPORT".
From there, I moved to a bigger premises at Hoërskool Hans Moore in Benoni. The load of the practice became too high for a single Bio to handle, therefore employing an intern biokineticist.
Dr. Danie Maritz and his wife, Esmè, approached me to also run a Biokinetic Centre from their premises in Princess Avenue Benoni, called "THE HEALTHY I".
After running both practices for a while, I opted to rather work from a single premises and remained at "The Healthy I" until May/June 2003.
I then bought the property on 81 Fifth Avenue and converted the house into a full time Biokinetic Centre.
81 5th Avenue
We opened the doors of the current practice on Tuesday, 1 July 2003. It was then known as "Ananda Hattingh Biokinetic and Sports Centre".
Legislation has since changed on how Biokinetic practices are allowed to be named, hence the name change to "Ananda Hattingh Biokineticists".
The practice started off with only Ananda as the practicing Biokineticist. It was well received by the community and soon grew into a flourishing Biokinetic Centre.
Kempton practice
This practice opened in August 2022 on the Kempton Hoërskool premises. This is also a very well equipped practice and we assist with the same conditions here as at our Benoni practice.
Today we are a team of biokineticists, together with a receptionist/office administrator as well as cleaning- and grounds personnel.
It has been a wonderful journey up to this point and we are looking ahead to the future in great anticipation!!
